Payments

We use three main methods of receiving payments for tours:

1). International Bank Transfer – you go to your bank and ask for the set amount to be paid to our bank. Most of our tours are priced in South African Rand (ZAR). We need to clear the amount in ZAR as per your quote. If there is a discrepancy due to exchange rate fluctuations during the payment processing period, the difference can be settled on arrival in ZAR cash (you can pay us the difference in the case of a shortfall, or we can refund you in the case of an overpayment).

2). Exchange4Free – this online payment portal is very easy to use (we will instruct you how to do it), and has the added advantage of low bank fees as you are in effect only paying into a local account in your country. Note that, for payments from the USA, it may take up to two weeks to clear, and some banks may not have an agreement with Exchange4Free, in which case you can use an international bank transfer or PayPal. You can use a credit card to pay through Exchange for Free, but will incur a 2.5% surcharge to cover the credit card charges. See https://exchange4free.com

3). PayPal – you can also pay us via PayPal, but we need to add a 5% surcharge to cover the credit card fees.

Note that the payee is responsible for all bank charges.
