Global Birding Weekend 17 / 18 October 2020.
Lawson's are proud to have participated in Global Bird Weekend 2020!
Lawson's were proud to have participated in the recent Global Birding Weekend, set up by our friend from Rutland, Tim Appleton. We managed to get a great team together, representing 9 different countries - South Africa, Australia, Portugal, Switzerland, Germany, the UK, Malawi, India and Sri Lanka. And, on the #OctoberBigDay, Saturday the 17th, we managed to list a whopping 655 species! The global event was a staggering success, with a total of 7100 species recorded on one day - a new World Record! The overall aim of the event was to raise awareness and funding to fight against the illegal trade in birds, and we were proud to have been part of it. Thanks Tim, the Global Birding Weekend team and the LawsonsTeam members for a wonderful event. The gallery shows images of some of the birds seen by Leon Marais in and around Nelspruit.

In this Blog Post we look at 10 of the Best...
